My name is Sean Russell, and ever since I was very young I was fascinated by the pictures my Father took with his camera.
What I would see as a mundane and ordinary scene, my Father would see completely differently - he captured a sense of life and atmosphere that was deeply inspiring.
One Christmas when I was eight years old I was given a Kodak Instamatic camera as a present. I immediately started snapping away. Most of my pictures were awful, but there would always be one or two that really surprised me. When I was older, I started to take photography more seriously and completed some courses, read books, practised and got through a mountain of film. Though far from perfect (photography is very subjective!), my work has improved and I now too, see things in a different way.
This online gallery is a perfect medium for sharing my work and insights from behind the lens - it is changing and improving as time goes on...

Recent clients include: Paperchase, Sundance Brand Agents, Fifteen20 Innovation Bureau, Research International, and a number of smaller corporate and private commissions. Works have ranged from small mounted and framed prints to consumer stationary to 5' high canvases.
